Why do seal point siamese cats tend to like one person over others?

siamese cats

My siamese cat follows me everywhere around the house. He sleeps in my bed with me and he talks normally only to me. He also seems to forgive me more easily than others(ex. when I step on his tail). Do seal point siamese cats have that in common?

Siamese do seem to be one-person cats. My old Siamese mix seemed to prefer me over my husband and all others.

A lot of pets bond with one person over others. Siamese have that tendency. Makes you kind of special, doesn’t it? Siamese are picky.

I have a Siamese mix cat, lilac point. He is my big baby. In my 55 years I have had many cats, but he seems to be the most attentive, loving, talkative, sweetest fur-baby I have ever had.
Since Siamese cats were once worshipped as gods, I don’t think they have ever forgotten it and attach themselves easily to those who love them most. I know mine is the god of my home. He has trained us to everything for him.

SIAMESE cats, period, regardless of whether they’re seal point, choccolate point, blue point, etc.. tend to be “one person cats” It is a known, documented trait of their breed, but not ALL siamese cats fit into the box..

Our siamese loved our whole family, but he was DEFINITELY my mom’s cat.. He had a MUCH stronger bond with her.
