Does anyone know of health problems with Peterbald cats?

cat health problems

We have an 8-month old Peterbald who has had continual repiratory ailments. Antibiotics worked temporarily but symptoms (sneezing, wheezing, wet coughing or hacking) always returned. He recently had a scope inserted to investigate problems in the nose, throat, ears, etc. Nothing found. The vet is now recommending a CT scan and possible surgery to widen the opening in the throat (a $1500 procedure). Anyone who has an idea - please respond.

This is general for cats - what kind of litter are you using? Most litters on the market create dust that can bother the respiratory system of cats - you might want to switch your litter to something less dusty, like the natural ones of Swheat Scoop or Worlds Best Kitty Litter.

I can not believe some vets!!!! Seek a 2nd opinion. Have you tried any antihistamines? Changed yr cats food? Yes this can cause yr issues. Your cat could have Asthma. I would find a TCVM vet and check out this website for a more natural approach.
It is so stupid to go overboard when simple things haven’t even been tried!!!!!!
Also, it is possible that he has damaged these areas and might have these issues forever.
PLEASE, PLEASE read through the links below I think you will find some very interesting information that may save yr cats quality of life!
Please let me know by email if you have any other questions and I would love to hear back how he is improving!
