Does anyone have an Egyptian Mau? URGENT my cats in heat?
Ok Bailey my female Egyptian Mau is currently in heat
I’ve been trying to research more about her but its so limited.
Ok heres the prob.
We have an American Shorthair MALE cat
who isnt neutered either.
So can Bailey get pregnant by him?
Her vagina is so tiny that i’m hoping that it wont happen

If hes that much bigger than her than its not likely, but it is possible. I’d keep the two seperate or get the male neutered.
Well, spay and neuter them tomorrow and you won’t have to worry about it at all.

EDIT: Google ‘low-cost’ spay/neuter and your state. Your boy should cost around $50, your girl $100. Please do this for both the health of your cats and the health of the pet population. Thanks for being a responsible owner and caregiver.

Yes they will mate unless you keep them separate. Separate them until you can get her spayed and him neutered. Probably best to get her spayed first if you can’t get them both done asap as males can be fertile for up to 6 weeks after neutering.
