I have two dwarf rabbits, one male (4-5 years) and one female (2 1/2 years). The female had had kittens 3 times and she didn´t care for them, she just ignored them every single time. The first two litters have died. So´why doesn´t she care for them?

So today im going to adopt a 4 month year old Abyssinian guinea pig, to go along with one i already have who is also Abyssinian. The one i have is a female too, and is about 1 1/2. And i was wondering if I should put them in the same cage at first, or keep them separate?

I recently bought a WinterWhite dwarf hamster. I did everything I was told. Make sure it has fresh water, don’t bother him for 24 hours etc. 2 days later I came home and went to look at him and he was laying in the cage dead. I couldn’t figure out why. I took him back to pet smart and exchanged the dead one for a new one. Pet smart said that the first one died because he was probably sick. Before I took the first one back I cleaned the cage with soap and hot water two times. And let it sit in the sun for 4 hours. I got the second one home and followed the same rules I followed on the first one. The next night I came home and he was dead too. I saw my cat looking at him through the cage the day before. Could my cat have scared them and that’s why they died. i have an 11 year old Abyssinian I don’t think she can do much harm. She can’t fit her paws through the cage. Or could the hamsters at pet smart have been sick. If I decide to get another one I will be getting a new cage. Could my cat have scared them and thats how they died?

what will you get between the two? my brother let the girl Abyssinian in with the boy the White Crested when i wasn’t there and im pretty sure she is pregnant now because its been 2 weeks and she is getting bigger and it feels like her stomachs moving too. i had no intention of breeding, but im just wondering what kind of babies she is going to have? Please help?

its gorgeous and i would love to have that breed of guinea pig. but when i go in the pet store what should i say.
please help me i am getting a nother one soon because my other 2 guinea pigs got eaten by a neighbours cat. but they left now and the new people dont have any pets. i am getting an abyssinian but i also want this breed to. can someone please tell me.

My guinea pigs had babies two days ago and I have five babies, one of which is an Abyssinian.
It has got cream, black and white fur, and is very bold and feisty.

And he’s really jittery. How long will it take him to get used to me? And can will he get along with another guinea pig that wasn’t raised in the same store?

I have raised guineas since I was young and never had one with such a weird odor. She is a ginger/red pig. It doesn’t smell like feces or urine and her cage doesn’t smell. The smell reminds me of a iron or blood smell. Otherwise she seems healthy and happy. Any ideas?
Actually they do not smell like ****. Poor care makes them smell bad.

1. the answer is B, and I was referring to a visible tail, as in, “if you pick a guinea pig up by the tail its eyes will fall out”
2. B, again. Although PVC pipes can be unsafe if your pig is really fat and cat toys need to be sturdy.
3. D is toxic. they say celery is bad for them because it’s stringy… but… not really. not if you cut it small.
4. um. definately not rabbits. other guinea pigs are usually the best choice, or yourself.

1. apparently, almost 60% of all homes have a dog or cat, and about 35% have children, so, believe it or not, C&C isn’t necessarily “the best”.
