Abyssinian Sand Terrier breeder?
I’m looking to buy a dog known as the Abyssinian Sand Terrier or African Hairless dog. Although recognized by the CKC, I haven’t been able to find a breeder anywhere. Can anyone help me find an Abyssinian Sand Terrier?
Your best resource for finding one of these dogs, would be to find a reputable breeder in your area. I would contact some reputable breeders and see if they know of anyone in the area that has these dogs. Stay away from dogs over the Internet, usually a sign of puppy mill or BYBs.
Reputable breeders will have ample information on all the genetics and breeding’s regarding their dogs. they normally will be a small population of dogs, and not someone who breeds dogs as their main income. Check with local shelters, some keep lists of reputable breeders to refer people to

She asked for help finding a breeder. I’m suggesting the best way to go about doing that. Its a rare breed she is searching for, so the best thing would be to find a reputable breeder of another breed of dog, and ask them for assistance. This is very common, and I know from helping persons at my shelter that it works. So no its not a horrible answer, and its the best way to find the breed she is looking for. I guarantee its her best bet.
